DEVELOP3D previewed the upcoming solidThinking Inspired 8.5 Release.

The new solidThinking and solidThinking Inspired 8.5 releases are scheduled for shipment in mid-February 2011. solidThinking 8.5 introduces more than 900 enhancements, updates and new features to empower industrial designers, architects and concept engineers with even more flexibility to give shape to their ideas and explore design scenarios collaboratively.

New Icsid Member

We are proud to announce that solidThinking, Inc. is a new member of the International Council of Societies of Industrial Design (Icsid).

Recognising the solidThinking's contributions to further Icsid's vision and mission, Icsid's executive board approved solidThinking's provisional membership which will be presented to the XXVII general assembly for ratification.

Icsid's membership comprises educational, governmental, promotional and professional organisations and associations from over 50 countries, as well as design-focused corporations. Members are united in their desire to advance the discipline of industrial design at an international level and create a world where design enhances our social, cultural, economic and environmental quality of life.
