solidThinking Provides Access to Innovative Technology Through the Open University
The Open University claims to offer more courses to more people in more places than any other U.K. university, and solidThinking is helping extend the university’s diversity and reach by providing free academic licenses of solidThinking EvolveTM and solidThinking InspireTM to the registered students of courses T211 - Design and designing and T307 - Innovation: Designing for a sustainable future.
“solidThinking software is currently offered as an optional resource for students, and we have extended our relationship with the Open University through 2012,” said Jim Hassberger, vice president of business development for solidThinking, Inc. “We want to inspire innovation and creativity in future designers, no matter what their geography, and giving them access to and education about advanced software are really the first steps. We’re looking forward to continuing our collaboration with the university’s design group by offering tutorials to further inform students about what they can achieve using solidThinking.” More about the OU at http://www.open.ac.uk.
