Collaborating with CAD
solidThinking allows product designers to collaborate efficiently with engineers, accelerating the product development cycle.

After creating his model in solidThinking, the product designer often will send the project to the engineer for the engineering phase.
At this point, if the style must change for manufacturing or marketing reasons, the original solidThinking model can still be modified by the product designer or the style center and then returned to the engineer with all the changes. The product designer still fully controls the styling adjustments and the engineer has no need to redo the entire work again. The engineer just needs to replace the base import feature and choose the new file with the new shape.
As you will see in the movie, this change gives an automatic update so that any operation is recalculated exactly as if everything is redone from scratch with great benefits in terms of accelerating the whiole process and preventing any loss of the original design intent.

solidThinking Technical Tip: Performance improvement on NVIDIA cards (Windows)
There is a setting that changes the graphic performances on NVIDIA cards significantly.
Just open the NVIDIA control panel and reach the 3D settings. You will find a panel with the rotating 3D NVIDIA logo.
Just below the logo are three settings. The first one is the default. Select the last one, the one that lets you choose your custom setting.
Selection will enable the slide-bar. Slide the cursor to the left in order to set the driver to provide the maximum performance in terms of speed.
Although you might expect to lose quality, there will not be any loss of quality inside solidThinking.
This setting will only affect the performance in a way that will produce a big improvement.
